From providing coffee, doughnuts and other hospitalities, the Welcome Table with information on our church and its various ministries and the general appearance of our lobbies and hallways to the oversight of our Host Teams and acolytes, every detail matters when providing a warm, loving place for people to experience God’s grace in the midst of a community of faith.
Our primary role for Sunday Mornings is the Host Team.
Our Host Teams serve with amazing enthusiasm and bright smiles, helping us create a welcoming environment that makes guests feel comfortable. The beauty of these service roles is that many of them don’t require an additional trip to the church, just 30 minutes before/after the worship service you normally attend. In many cases families can serve together. Training is offered and it’s easier than you think!
Each team consists of a group of people, 3-6 individuals, who serve once a month at either the 8:15 or 10:45 worship service, opening the front doors for guests as they arrive, greeting members and guests, handing out bulletins, receiving the offering in worship and helping people locate restrooms, the elevator, classrooms or a seat in worship, among other things.
